Ingrid lost her first tooth this evening while we were taking baths. It had been wiggly for oh-so-long, it sort of became second nature to see it hanging. To be honest, part of me didn't want her to lose it; it reminds me that she's growing up faster than I want. My sweet little girl with her closet of dresses is losing her baby teeth - meaning grown up teeth are coming.
Oh Ingrid - stay sweet for me!!!
And Erik - you are such a photo bomb. So funny, I love this picture.

Snow With Grandpa
We woke to our first day in Minnesota ready to get in some fun sledding. The ground had enough snow for us - yeah - and our old sleds were brought down from the garage overhead.
Erik slept great his first night at Grandma's and Grandpa's. They had set up a crib mattress next to my bed. Instead of that, Erik wanted to sleep with me; on a twin bed! Oh he slept well. Me, not so much.
The first order of business outside was to fill all of Grandpa's bird feeders. Erik was a very willing assistant holding the containers and "calling" the birds over to eat. That was followed by sledding, first with Grandpa and then mommy and then by himself. He even got the hang of walking up the hills with his sled using the rope. What we didn't know at the time was that this was going to be the first of a series of sledding with Erik. It turned into a twice daily time four day activity. Erik looooooved sledding. Before the end of the week, we made a nice slick path all the way past Naboo's house and onto the street below us!

Erik's First Flight
I haven't been back to Minnesota in more than five years. I told Woody I felt it was time to visit after I found tickets for under $200 a piece. That's unheard of! I love winter and thought how much fun it would be to see Minnesota in winter. And Erik needed to see Minnesota since he hasn't been on a summer trip there. So the plan was hatched. We bought a new car seat with cup holders that is FAA approved. We bought Erik a jacket and boots and packet our bags. Grandma and Grandpa were super excited to find out their grandson was coming to visit to play in the snow. Now all we need to do is pray for snow!!!!!! And more prayers!!!! And more prayers!!!!
Erik was so well behaved on the flight, I couldn't imagine any better. The plane was brand new - less than two months old and everything looked fresh and fun. There was plenty room for his seat in the window and he got to watch everything on a quiet flight. The flight had wifi available for purchase. I bought it and spent the time surfing the web and sending text images to Woody of Erik while he played on his phone and colored and did activity books.
Grandpa and Grandma were waiting for us at the baggage claim with a jacket for me and hugs for Erik. It's going to be a great week!!!
