With Harmony and Harabagee here for the weekend, you can guess that one of the stops would be at the shoe store. This trip was no exception. Harabagee bought the kids new shoes for the season. And two pair for Ingrid! (The shoe princess). Everyone was ecstatic except Morgan who couldn't make up her mind and seemed to have an internal implosion over shoe choices. Her final decision - blue Vans. Sheesh, that shouldn't have been so hard.
Thank you Harabagee for the shoes!!!

Harmony and Harabagee are Here
It's time for another weekend with the grandparents. Woody's parents flew in Saturday afternoon for some fun in the Valley of the Sun. Harabagee is staying until Monday and Harmony is staying for the week. Yeah us. There's always good food and some fun when they are in town. And this week is more special because it is Woody's birthday and the Lunar New Year.
Instead of going out, we decided to BBQ some ribs at home and let Woody show off his grill. So yummy and so relaxing. Everyone loved the bacon wrapped pretzels and bacon wrapped asparagus.
After dinner, Erik decided to show Harabagee his favorite show on Netflix - Rescuebots. I don't think Harabagee was into the show but it was sure nice to see the together time between the two of them. Harmony decided the quietness of the library was more her style and retreated to hang out there. I have to agree with her. The library mat is so comfortable and so inviting. Either way, it's great seeing the kids with their grandparents.

Church Clothes
For no particular reason, Erik decided he wanted to "dress up" a bit more for church. Certainly I was not going to squash that bug so away we went to venture through his closet. When he said yes to the vest, I knew I had a swag looking son. It didn't take long to convince Ingrid to choose a trendy skirt and put on her new Doc Marten boots. Morgan tried out her curling iron, a gift from Christmas, and got her goldilocks look all set.
And Annika? First, she didn't want to be in the picture. Second, her idea of dressing up is anything other than a pair of jeans. She takes after me, bless her heart. I love it and smile on the inside and out. And I can always get a picture from the back!

New Day
So it's the first day of the new semester, a cold January day. Of course by cold I don't mean below zero. It was nearly 40 degrees when we headed out to Ingrid's school to meet her teacher. After a semester with poor communication, we made a change and Ingrid has a new teacher. Woody and I introduced ourselves after walking the four kids with us to school. New folders and her desk made the move to the new classroom. Ingrid noticed a few of her first grade classmates in this classroom so she didn't feel like an outsider.
A busy day followed with work, a dentist visit for me, buying a craft desk, dinner and reading. Whew!!
A new day and the speed of the day signaled more to come.
